For more than 28 years, Scientific Botanicals, Inc. has been creating and manufacturing high potency dietary supplements, unique phytogels and highly concentrated Native Extracts. The very reason for our inception by Dr. Edward and Blanca Madison in 1982 was to obtain and produce supplements that could improve the health of their family and patients. Since then, our purpose has remained the same: to provide nothing short of the best final products available – what they themselves and their children would use. Dr. Edward J. Madison, ND is our Chief Medical Officer. He graduated from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in 1976 where he had the great fortune to be mentored by the late Dr. John Bastyr. In addition to practicing, Dr. Madison was one of the original members of the clinical faculty and instructor of pharmacognosy, botanical medicine, and nutrition at Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. While teaching at Bastyr Univesrsity, he started Scientific Botanicals in 1982 and introduced his products to the Bastyr Clinic and his colleagues. In the years since then, Scientific Botanicals has grown into an international company, reaching thousands of people across the globe. Currently, Dr. Madison is formulating new products expected to be added to the SciBot line in 2011.

Blanca Madison is our Chief Executive Officer. She was born in Peru; where she completed a Master's degree in Education. She has directed and nurtured Scientific Botanicals Company since its' inception in 1982. Her primary role is to oversee the daily operations as well as the long range planning of the corporation. She is supported by a professional and singularly-focused Scientific Botanicals' team that takes pride in the persuit of excellence.

Who is Galen?
Galen or Claudius Galenus (121-201 A.D.), was one of the first prominent physicians in Western history. The ideas he espoused in his teachings were taught and practiced for over a millennium following his death. Saliently for us, he is given credit for being the originator of botanical extracts. He compounded various botanical extracts to form basic pharmaceuticals known as Galenicals.
